Meet The Team
Edmund Minimah
Managing Partner, Freed Capitals
Edmund has nearly 2 decades experience in business management. A graduate of University of Hull and an MPH from University of Leeds. He equally sat for the Institute for Chartered Shipbrokers in 2015 and passed excellently to become a Chartered Shipbroker.
He joined the supramax trading desk at Clarksons Shipbrokers. He went on to become a chartering manager at Clarksons Plc. He co-founded Mabby’s Grange Ltd (a Commodities trading company) with offices in Lagos and Johannesburg in 2014. He sits on the boards of Lindoc Wines (Pty) Ltd. South Africa, Oge Maritime Group and Profest Foods Ltd. He is an active member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers UK, Black Business Chamber South Africa and Project Management Institute Nigeria.
His focus is ensuring that Freed Capitals lives up to its dual mission of helping clients realize lasting and substantial improvements in their performance; while also attracting, developing and retaining exceptional people in an inclusive culture.
Stanley Mere
Principal Partner, Freed Capitals
Stanley is an experienced Maritime professional. He joined SAFS Engineering as a Junior Project Engineer after graduating from Northumbria University as a Marine Engineer. He has since worked with Tech-flow Marine Ltd UK as CAD Draftsman where he designed a program application (Autodesk) that has since proven beneficial to the company. He served as Design Engineer for AIS Technical UK.
He has taken part in many volunteer causes towards building young African entrepreneurs in the the marine industry and the blue economy in Nigeria and Africa generally. He currently manages the maritime industry profile of Freed Capitals from the London office.
